THE PHILIPPINES NEEDS YOUR HELP

Over the weekend, Tropical Storm Ketsana (Philippine name Typhoon Ondoy) ravaged most of the island of Luzon, leaving catastrophe in its wake. The latest reports say that at least 100 people were left dead, and countless thousands are displaced and/or missing. The Typhoon wreaked havoc over the nation's capital, Manila, and the nearby provinces, leaving a total of over Php109 Million (US$2,290,000) in damages.

You ever have one of those days were everything just goes really, really right? I'm having one and I'm kind of loving it.

I'm actually understanding my Chinese lessons, like--I can do my homework and I don't sound to terribly stupid when I'm speaking either (forget that I can only speak like seven words and ask; "Why is there a chicken in the kitchen?" yeah don't ask.) so that's pretty spiffy. Also, one of my roommates brought home something terribly concerning...

Also, I've been reconnecting with a friend I used to roleplay with that I haven't spoken with in awhile. I've been grinning all day like an idiot just because it's so nice to hear from her. Blahhh. But yeah, today... has been awesome. Minus the mutant squash.
